In the second part of his interview with Michael Fahy, Lenny Connaughton expresses his sadness at the lost sporting opportunities denied to the players of his youth by the harsh realities of emigration and by the decision of the powers-that-be to split the Kilconieron parish into two competing teams. He also provides a wonderful insight into the social life of a teenage in rural Galway during the late 1950s and early 1960s.
