Mick Higgins recounts a series of humourous tales on footballing life in Caltra in County Galway during the 1950s, from the difficulties in keeping the one & only football in playing condition; the in-parish rivalries that then existed; the cuteness a referee used to keep the peace, & the troops of men that cycled to matches in convoy on dusty roads.
