Clonbrock Demesne Tour

Sheep Washing to Victorian Photography

A film documentary of a tour of Clonbrock demesne by the pupils of St. Patrick’s National School from nearby Fohenagh. Ably assisted by Frank Gavin, Anne Burke & Roebuck Ffrench, the youngsters continue their investigations into the glory days of this great Anglo Irish estate. The tour includes a visit to the Sheep-Wash on the Bunowen River, a chat with the new owner of the former O’Kelly Castle destroyed accidently by fireworks in 1807 and finishes at the Photographic House that was commissioned by Lady Augusta Dillon.
