Dramatisation of Household Servants
A film documentary of a tour of Clonbrock demesne by the pupils of St. Patrick’s National School from nearby Fohenagh. In this episode, the youngsters cheerfully re-enact the roles of many of the key servants of Clonbrock House. The viewer is treated to a whimsical rendition of the duties of the butler, nanny, maid housekeeper, head cook, scullery maid as they were in a ‘Big House’ in Ireland during the Victorian and Edwardian periods.
